Our very own George Faller, LMFT, President of NYCEFT, and Certified EFT Therapist, Supervisor and Trainer, and the leading force behind the tremendous growth of EFT in the Greater New York area, was interviewed by NBC Nightly News, as an individual making a difference as a firefighter and licensed marriage and family therapist for the FDNY. In New York City, ICEEFT and Ackerman Institute for the Family have co-sponsored 4 externships since 2008, with over 550 individuals attending, from over 20 states and 6 countries.
Originally established in 2009, NYCEFT celebrated official status as a not-for-profit organization in February 2011. Membership has grown to 80 members from New York, Connecticut and New Jersey, there are now 24 Certified EFT Therapists and 18 Certified Supervisors and Approved Supervisor Candidates. A number of our NYCEFT members are bi-lingual, speaking languages such as Spanish, French, Russian, Hebrew and Hungarian.
Trevor Crow, LMFT, from Southport, CT, hosts a fabulous weekly radio show, where she interviews renowned professionals in related fields.

Emotionally Focused Therapy
Since it’s origin in 1998, Emotionally Focused Therapy has grown exponentially throughout the world. It is now taught, and the therapy is now used, in over 30 countries within all 6 continents world wide.
There are currently over 200 Certified EFT Therapists throughout the world, many of whom are also certified supervisors or approved supervisor candidates helping train therapists. In addition, there are 30 Certified Trainers, four of whom are in Europe. These trainers have presented the 4 day EFT Externship to several thousand therapists world wide.
As EFT continues to grow and expand, a substantial body of research continues to support the growth. Sue Johnson and ICEEFT note that EFT achieves the “Gold” standard in terms of empirically validated psychotherapy research. Streaming Seminars on EFT
The San Diego Center for EFT sponsors “Streaming Seminars”. You can get EFT Support from the comfort of your own home or office. The first one, featuring Drs. Scott R. Woolley and Rebecca Jorgensen was a big success. Participants commented on really enjoying learning in the comfort of their own home and feeling a greater sense of EFT bonding. Therapsits joined the event from all over the world, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Italy, Australia, Canada and the United States, including Hawaii.
